MeMeMe Cosmetics Review

MeMeMe Cosmetics Review

Hi Everyone,

I recently was sent a few products from MeMeMe Cosmetics Ireland, the products I received were the following:

Tinted Moisturiser

Flawless Concealer

Eyeshadow Quad In Goddess

Eye Sweep Eyeliner

I have tested these products over and over again and put them to the test and I am pleasantly surprised as these products are high end drugstore and perform extremely well! The packaging is so chic and I love it, the black with gold swirls give it an elegance which you normally do not see in drugstore cosmetics! I have included a few pictures of me with the products on and it photographed really well. The Prices for the products are:

Tinted Moisturiser - 12.99 Euros
Flawless Concealer - 8.50 Euros
Eyeshadow Quad - 8.50 Euros
Eye Sweep - 7.99 Euros

The first product I tried out was their Tinted Moisturiser, it is sheer to medium coverage, sets with a dewy finish, evens the skin tone and does not make the skin look flat whatsoever, I normally do not like tinted moisturisers as I feel they don't last very well on my skin and that they cause me to get super oily in my T-Zone but this is the exception to the rule, this tinted moisturiser gave me good coverage, lasted 6 hours before I had to touch up and I never got oily once whilst it was on my skin!!!! I would day this is a miracle product because my shine did not break through. Overall I really liked the tinted moisturiser and found it did moisturise the skin slightly but my recommendation is this is suited for more normal to oily skin types.

The second product I put to the test was the Flawless Concealer and it did exactly what it said on the tin (well Packaging lol), it blurred my imperfections and helped hide my dark circles under the eye. It is rare to find a concealer that conceals both blemishes and hides dark circles as generally a concealer that blurs blemishes is thick and creases under the eyes when used to hide dark circles. This concealer was light and pigmented, so I didn't need to use much and when I set it with powder it stayed put for around 6 hours, roughly the same as the tinted moisturiser. In my opinion I think all skin types could use this concealer and if you are looking for a good concealer with cute packaging at drugstore price then this is the one for you!

The Eyeshadow Quad in Goddess has the most beautiful shades in it and all are shimmery, these are baked eyeshadows and can be used wet or dry, my only problem with these is that they didn't last without a good cream base, I used the concealer lightly over my eyelid and it gave the eyeshadow something to cling to which made the product more vibrant and last longer! There is some fall out with these eyeshadows but if you do your eye make-up before your base it can be easily cleaned up. There is not much more to say about these as they are pretty typical of drugstore eyeshadows, however I will say that I like how compact the four shades in one compact is.

Last but not least is the Eye Sweep Eyeliner, this eyeliner is a liquid liner in a felt tip pen which makes it uber easy to use. The first use of this pen was brilliant, it glided on like butter and was well pigmented. I had one slight problem and it was that it did take a few minutes for it to set but I find all liquid eyeliners do that anyways, so it is no different.  The eyeliner lasted extremely well and it had to be removed with an oil based eye make-up remover. If you have the patience to wait a few minutes for this to dry on your lash line, then you will really like this eyeliner. ***BONUS POINT*** It is super easy to take in you handbag as there is no brush involved, it is just one item in pen form.

This was my first time experiencing these products and I really do like them and look forward to purchasing from them in the future!

Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD 5 Eyeshadow Palette's

Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD 5 Eyeshadow Palette's

Hey guys and girls, its been a while I know but I have been rather busy with my personal life and two new things in are my baby twin niece Emily & Hatti, they are just the most adorable things ever and their big brother George is very protective! Anyways enough babbling about my life, today's blog post is on Rimmel's Glam'Eyes HD 5 Eyeshadow Palette's.

I have only got two out of the four colours in the range and are called Brixton Brown & Pinkadilly Circus, the other two in the range that I don't have are Golden Eye & Foggy Grey.

As you can see below the packaging is not exactly luxury but it not worst packaging ive ever saw in the make-up industry!

024 Pinkadilly Circus

022 Brixton Brown

On further inspection of the eyeshadows I discovered that the formulation was very hard, which meant when you touched them you got hardly any pay off, but if you rubbed a small layer off the top of the eyeshadows you got the pay off that you would expect from drug store make-up. Don't expect these to be like MAC, Illamasqua or higher end make-up brands as they do have fall out and will rub off easily.

Above you can see the colours in the palette's more clearly, they come with the usual foam applicators, my advice on these applicators is to throw them straight into the bin, as they are rarely any good, you can not get good precision results with them and they harbour so much bacteria over time that can cause a multitude of infections, I seriously feel we are still in the 80's with these applicators, come on Rimmel and similar brands, either leave this disgusting things out or put in a decent brush!!!

In the pictures below I have swatched all the colours in each palette for you, once without an eyeshadow primer and once with an eyeshadow primer. The results where drastic with the lighter colours, with out the primer I could hardly see the lighter eyeshadows at all but with the primer you could see them very well and it helped the darker eyeshadows appear more full.

My verdict on these is, if you are on a budget and don't want to spend alot on make-up then yes this would be an option for you, as long as you got an eyeshadow base/primer to put on before you apply the eyeshadow on top but if you had some money to spare and are willing to pay a bit more there are alot more better brands out there that provide better quality, some even drugstore products!

These palettes are priced at £6.99 and can be purchased from Boots, Superdrug and most drugstores on the high street!

Thank you so much for reading my blog post and I hope to speak to you guys and gals soon!
